In addition, she was the Activity Director in an Alzheimer's care facility and an adult day care center, where she also served as the Program Manager. In 2001, she started 2nd Watch Senior Care, a business that provides non-medical, companion and errand services to older adults living in the community. She has been a Franklin County (Ohio) Volunteer Guardian for ten years, serving to direct care and make health-care decisions for nursing-home residents with limited resources.
